ROME - The Buford Lady Wolves travel to Rome for this weekend's state fast-pitch softball sectionals. Sixteen teams, including four from North Georgia, will compete Friday and Saturday at Alto Park.
Four teams will advance from this weekend's field to the Elite Eight tournament in Columbus October 27.
Number two seed Buford, out of Region 6-AA, takes on #3 Morgan County (8-AA) at 4 p.m. Friday.
The Lady Wolves are ranked #2 in the state in class AA after posting a regular season record of 26-6-1.
