GAINESVILLE - Legendary folk artist R.A. Miller has died just weeks after a tribute to him opened at Brenau University.
A two-month exhibition - "R.A. Miller: A Tribute" - showcasing Miller's work opened at Brenau in early February.
Miller is known for a hillside of whirligigs, or metal cutout figures and drawings, some of them wind-powered, that was a Rabbittown landmark for years.
Miller, who had been in a Commerce nursing home in recent years, died Tuesday at the age of 93.
