GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will host a workshop this weekend aimed at enhancing the understanding of the gay and lesbian community.
The workshop will be held in conjunction with the inauguration of PFLAG's new Gainesville office.
"As our chapter grows and expands," said chapter president Savannah Pacer, "we want to help produce a safe haven for youth. This workshop is ideal for initiating our new and larger meeting space."
Trent Nichelson, PFLAG Youth Coordinator, added, "This workshop will help improve acceptance while investigating methods to advance education on gay lesbian bi transgender issues."
The meeting will be held Sunday at 673 Grove Street.
