``He is a respected administrator and his knowledge of college baseball will benefit the committee and the Division I baseball championship,'' said Dennis Poppe, the NCAA's managing director of football and baseball. ``The championship has enjoyed great success in recent years; however, the administrative demands have also increased. Larry is the right person to address the issues facing this very visible NCAA event.''<br>

Templeton was appointed in April to his second four-year term on the committee. He previously served from 1994-97.<br>
