Reigning Cup champion Kurt Busch leaving Roush Racing

CONCORD, N.C. (AP) Reigning Nextel Cup champion Kurt Busch has told Roush Racing he's signed with another team for 2007 and has asked to be released from his 2006 contract.<br>

It's not immediately clear who Busch has signed with but Penske and Dale Earnhardt Incorporated both have cars coming open next season.<br>
<br>
Busch stands fifth in this year's Nextel Cup standings, 277 points behind leader Tony Stewart.<br>
<br>
He's one of five Nextel Cup drivers racing for Roush this season, joining Mark Martin, Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards.<br>
