GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Police Department and the Hall County Sheriff's Office were presented with The Presidents Award from the Georgia Gang Investigators Association recently.
The award recognizes both departments' work in combating criminal street gangs - and in education and presentations on gangs.
The Georgia Gang Investigative Association has over 300 members from different law enforcement agencies throughout the state.
