CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) Big Ten Player of the Year Dee Brown will check out his chances with the N-B-A.<br>

The Illinois junior plans to submit his name for the N-B-A draft but hasn't signed with an agent. By not hiring an agent, Brown could return to Illinois for his senior season if he pulls his name from the draft list by June 21st.<br>

He averaged over 13 points a game for the Illini which was number one for much of the season. They lost to North Carolina in the national championshipo game.<br>
<br>
Brown's decision follows by two weeks the decision by classmate Deron Williams to hire an agent and leave Illinois for the N-B-A. Williams is expected to be a first-round selection in the June 28th draft.<br>
