GAINESVILLE - There's a sign along one of the busiest entrances into the city welcoming people to Gainesville.
It's on Queen City Parkway near I-985.
It was dedicated Thursday morning and is a project of the Gainesville Rotary Club in conjunction with Rotary International's 100th anniversary.
LeTrell Simpson, the immediate past-president of the club, says the sign is on land donated by Gainesville businessman Jim Walters and was designed by architect Steve Hill.
