Dougherty 30, Shaw 14

ATLANTA (AP) Ronnie Nelson threw for 150 yards, ran for 100 more and scored three rushing touchdowns to lead Dougherty to a 30-14 victory over Shaw in Saturday&#39;s Class AAA state semifinals.<br> <br> The Trojans (13-1) will face Peach County who beat LaGrange 35-17 next week in the title game.<br> <br> After the Raiders (12-2) took a 14-7 lead in the second quarter, Dougherty tied the game when Nelson broke for a 20-yard scoring run.<br> <br> On a replay, Nelson&#39;s knee appeared to touch the ground after he was tossed to the ground by a Shaw defender, but the play still stood.<br> <br> From that point on, Shaw couldn&#39;t find its rhythm on both sides of the ball, going scoreless in the second half.<br> <br> Nelson, who completed 8-of-13 passes and had 14 carries, scored on a 26-yard run just before halftime. He added a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.<br> <br> Xavier Cheeks ran for 91 yards on 19 carries, including a 4-yard touchdown in the first half for Dougherty. Michael Nelson caught three passes for 50 yards.<br> <br> Quarterback Cam Greathouse raced for an 84-yard touchdown run, giving Shaw a 14-7 lead in the first quarter.
