116-acre annexation on the agenda in Lula

LULA - The City of Lula is considering an annexation request that is part of plans for a large subdivision in the East Hall twon.

The request involves 116 acres, owned by the McCrary family and under contract to DAC Enterprises. The land is along Georgia Highway 52.

The applicants are also requesting a rezoning from AR-4 (Agriculture) to R-1 (Residential), which would clear the way for a subdivision on the tract.

The Lula City Council will hold a public hearing on the annexation and rezoning requests August 31 at 6 p.m. at city hall.
