Cingular names new CFO in employee swap with parent SBC

<p>Cingular Wireless LLC named a new chief financial officer Tuesday as part of an employee swap with one of its parent companies, SBC Communications Inc.</p><p>Peter Ritcher, who recently served as vice president of corporate finance for San Antonio-based SBC, will take over his new role at Atlanta-based Cingular on May 10.</p><p>Ritcher replaces Rick Lindner, who was named CFO for SBC last week.</p><p>Cingular, the nation's second-largest cell phone provider, is jointly owned by SBC and Atlanta-based BellSouth Corp.</p><p>In February, Cingular announced plans to acquire AT&T Wireless Services Inc. of Redmond, Wash., for $41 billion in cash.
