<p>Kwame Brown came up big again for the Washington Wizards.</p><p>Coming off a career game against Sacramento, Brown had 27 points and 11 rebounds in the Wizards' 94-84 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.</p><p>On Wednesday night, Brown made his first seven shots against the Kings, scored 16 points in the first quarter and finished with career highs of 30 points and 19 rebounds.</p><p>"He had a great game against Sacramento, but young players sometimes don't come to play two games in a row so we had to give him the ball inside to keep his confidence up," teammate Gilbert Arenas said. "His confidence is sky high right now, so we've got to feed him the ball.</p><p>"When his confidence is high, he's running, playing defense and doing everything."</p><p>Brown made his first five shots and scored 14 of the Wizards' 18 points.</p><p>"I just wanted to come out and not overdo it _ not try to score 30 again but bring the same energy and play hard," said Brown, who shot 10-for-14 from the field and 7-for-10 at the line. "They went to me in the early going. I was able to hit a couple shots, got my confidence up, and I kept going."</p><p>Arenas had his third triple-double of the season, finishing with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.</p><p>Stephen Jackson led the Hawks with 17 points on 7-for-21 shooting. Bobby Sura added 16 points and 12 rebounds.</p><p>"Everybody looked kind of tired tonight," Jackson said. "It was one of those games where we were flat. We couldn't hit any shots."</p><p>Last week, the Hawks scored 83 points in the second half of a 138-124 victory over the Wizards in Atlanta. This time, they managed only 84.</p><p>"We are a jump-shooting team so we need those shots going down," Hawks coach Terry Stotts said.</p><p>Arenas assisted on Jared Jeffries' alley-oop slam to give the Wizards a 63-54 lead with 4:49 remaining in the third quarter. Mitchell Butler followed with a putback to cap a 17-2 run.</p><p>After Wesley Person's 3-pointer pulled the Hawks to 65-57, Brown converted a three-point play and a two-handed slam to put the Wizards up by 13.</p><p>"Gilbert, who loves to score, said, `Let's work it to Kwame down on the post,'" Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said. "His matchups have been pretty good. He's had some people that haven't been very big or experienced or powerful or quick enough to defend him."</p><p>Sura kept the Hawks alive with a pair of three-point plays late in the fourth quarter. The closest Atlanta got in the period was 87-80 on a layup by Boris Diaw with 4:08 left.</p><p>Jason Terry's 3-pointer from the corner gave the Hawks a 48-45 halftime lead.</p><p>Brown made his first five shots and scored 14 of the Wizards' 18 points. On Wednesday night against Sacramento, he made his first seven shots, scored 16 points in the first quarter and played the entire game. Against the Hawks, he sat with 2:13 left in the first quarter and returned at the 9:05 mark of the second.</p><p>Notes:@ Only one player in the league has been with his current team longer than Atlanta forward Alan Henderson, who has been with the Hawks since 1995.
