ATLANTA - Nearly 30 former and current Democratic officeholders in Georgia - including four from Northeast Georgia - have endorsed Republican Johnny Isakson's U.S. senatorial bid.
The statewide group includes individuals from the North Georgia mountains to the Florida line.
Those from our area are: State Representatives Jeanette Jamieson of Toccoa and Alan Powell of Hartwell; former State Senator Jane Hemmer of Gainesville; and Sheriff Hugh Roach of Franklin County.
