Suspect in fires identified

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville police Monday identified the woman arrested in connection with two suspicious fires over the weekend.

Lt. Stan Kimbrell says she is 38-year-old Linda Hale of Oconee Springs Apartments in Gainesville. Lt. Kimbrell says Hale has been has been hospitalized in Atlanta for mental evaluation.

Kimbrell says thusfar Hale has been charged only with criminal trespass pending her release from the hospital.

The Saturday night fires damaged the Sartain, McKay, and Crowell law offices on Boulevard and a dentist's office in the 400 block of Green Street.

Both occurred about 6 p.m.
