JACKSON, TENNESSEE - Kesha Watson scored 31 points and grabbed eight rebounds as four-time defending champion Oklahoma City beat Berry 97-47 Wednesday in the first round of the NAIA tournament. <br>

Oklahoma City (32-0) will face either Xavier or Trevecca Nazarene in the second round Friday. Watson scored ten of 16 straight points as the Stars opened a 32-12 lead with 7:04 left in the first. <br>

Berry (23-12) didn't get any closer than 41-26 on a jumper by Whitney Deal just before halftime. <br>

The Stars started the second half with a 9-0 run to take a 53-28 lead. <br>

Oklahoma City forced 29 turnovers and had 18 steals while forcing Berry to shoot 29 percent (16-of-54). The Stars hit 54 percent (40-of-73) from the floor. <br>

Detra Ashley scored 19 points, Veronique Alesse added 16 and Sarah Kilcannon had 14 for Oklahoma City. The Stars are trying to become the first NAIA women's team to win five consecutive championships. <br>

Deal led Berry with 14 points.
