Great Dane adding workers at western Indiana plants

BRAZIL, INDIANA - Great Dane Trailers is adding workers at its two western Indiana manufacturing plants for the first time in two years. <br>

The maker of refrigerated, freight and platform trailers will hold a job fair Saturday at its Brazil, Indiana, plant as part of a plan to add workers at that Clay County site and at a plant in Terre Haute, in neighboring Vigo County. <br>

Job cuts in recent years have reduced the work force at the two plants to about eleven-hundred <br>
<br>
Great Dane, a 102-year-old company with nine U.S. manufacturing plants, has headquarters in Savannah, Georgia, and Chicago. <br>
<br>
The company said it expects to hire back 150 to 200 welders and manufacturing workers by October at Brazil and Terre Haute.
