Chautauqua Airlines to be fifth Delta regional carrier

ATLANTA - Delta Air Lines announced Monday that Chautauqua Airlines will become the fifth carrier in its Delta Connection system, flying among Florida cities from an Orlando hub. <br>

Chautauqua will begin flying as part of Delta Connection in November with 22 Embraer regional jets by the end of 2003. <br>
<br>
The move helps Delta Connection carrier Comair retire its fleet of turboprop planes in Florida. Comair will continue to operate a limited regional jet service from Orlando. <br>
<br>
Indianapolis-based Chautauqua also flies as a regional carrier for AmericanConnection in Saint Louis, America West Express in Columbus, Ohio and U.S. Airways Express. <br>

The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, owned by Wexford Capital of Greenwich, Connecticut.
