ATLANTA - Federal mediators have scheduled talks between Lockheed Martin Corp. and union members who have been striking the defense contractor's Marietta plant since March 11.
The talks will be April 10 in Atlanta.
About 2,700 members of International Association of Machinists Local 709 have picketed the Cobb County plant since rejecting a contract proposal Maryland-based Lockheed Martin has called its best and final offer.
Union and company officials said Tuesday that neither side has altered its position.
Union members began collecting $115 weekly strike pay on Monday.
Workers at Lockheed operations in Meridian, Miss. and Clarksburg, W.Va. that supply materials for the Marietta plant also are on strike. The Marietta plant produces F-22 Raptor fighters and C-130J transports.
