FORT WORTH, TEXAS - American Airlines says it's recalling 208 laid-off pilots due to the gradual increase in air travel.
Traffic has picked up in the months since the September 11th terrorist attacks.
A spokeswoman for American says the pilots will begin training sessions on May first.
In September, parent company AMR announced it would cut 20,000 jobs at American, American Eagle and TWA, which has since been folded into American.
In December, American recalled 800 reservations clerks and canceled plans to lay off another 200 pilots.
