LINCOLN, NEBRASKA - The last utility vehicle to be built at the 101-year-old Cushma plant in Lincoln, Nebraska, has rolled off the assembly line.

The plant is closing as its operations are being transferred to plants that parent company Textron owns in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Augusta, Georgia.
A spokeswoman says most of the Lincoln plant's employees will lose their jobs December 20.

She says a few employees will stay at the plant until January third to help close the books.
The spokeswoman says some workers have elected to move with their jobs to Charlotte, but she said she didn't know how many chose that option. Severance packages have been arranged for other workers.
