Hall County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) investigators say a local motorcycle rider was seriously hurt from an overnight wreck with another vehicle Sunday night.
The HCSO's Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) was called to assess the crash scene along Lula Road (SR 52) at Clarks Bridge Road just before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 8 after the HCSO received a call for a motor vehicle crash. Officials say the truck of 59-year old Candy Marie Wright of Dahlonega was traveling eastbound along Lula Road, when her vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign by Clarks Bridge Road.
The truck reportedly collieded with the motorcycle driven by 39-year old Dustin Rodney Turner of Gainesville, who was travelling northbound along Clarks Bridge Road. The HCSO's AIU detectives said Wright remained at the scene following the collision. She and her passenger were not injured, but as a result of the crash, Officials say Turner suffered serious injuries, including a fractured ankle. Hall County EMS transported him from the wreck scene to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville for treatment.
Hall County's social media post showed the intersection of Clarks Bridge Road and Lula Road was closed for approximately 90 minutes during the investigation.
