A suspect has been arrested after a stabbing in the parking lot of a business on Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville on Saturday.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Alvin Reginald Maull, 44, of Gainesville, was arrested shortly after fleeing the scene of the stabbing.
An argument between Maull and another man escalated into a fight in the 1500 block of Browns Bridge Road before 11:30 a.m.
During the fight, the 43-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times in his upper body. He then walked to the Subway for help.
Officers located Maull at the QuikTrip store located at the corner of Jesse Jewell Parkway and Queen City Parkway just before 12:30 p.m.
Maull faces one count of aggravated assault.
The victim was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, and he is expected to survive.
The Gainesville Police Department assisted with the investigation.
