Northeast Georgia boys soccer teams went three for four on Wednesday night in the Georgia High School Assocaition playoffs.
Habersham Central flexed its defensive muscles with a 4-0 win over Lakeside-Evans at Raider Stadium. However, Jackson County dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker to No. 9 Rome in Class 5A. The Panthers had a chance late but eventually lost 6-5 in the PK round to be eliminated.
Region 8-4A No. 4-seed East Forsyth continued its improbable run with a nail-biting 1-0 win over fourth-ranked Clarkston on the road. It won;t get any easier for the Broncos, who next will get defending Class 4A state champion Westminster in the Elite 8.
And Towns County also advanced to the Elite 8 in Class A Division 2 with a 3-0 win over Chattahoochee County at home.
