Nine northeast Georgia area boys teams will close out the first round of the Georgia High School School Association soccer playoffs on Friday.
Only three teams -- Johnson, Jefferson, and Rabun County -- will be at home while the remaining six will be on the road, all in middle or south Georgia locales.
Johnson, which finished second in Region 6-3A and seeded 10th in Class 3A, will take on Groves on The Dungeon and Jefferson, the 12th seed, will be at Memorial Stadium against Harlem. Also in Class 3A, Chestatee, the No. 18 seed, heads to 15-seed West Laurens in an interesting opening round matchup. Dawson County, the 29th seed, travels to No.4 seed Islands while East Hall, the 31st seed, has a huge task against No. 2 seed Richmond Academy.
Rabun County is No. 9 seed in Class A Division 1 and will be at home against Towers.
