Gainesville's Blue Sky Concert Series to Return in May

Gainesville’s Blue Sky Concert series is set to return in May. 
 
Starting May 7, a different local performer will play live music in Downtown Gainesville from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each Wednesday throughout the month. The series encourages the public to bring a lunch or takeout from an area restaurant to and listen to each week’s mini-concert. 
 
The series will kick off with music from Rodney Appleby. The remainder of the 2025 concert dates are as follows: 
  • May 14: Chad Bowmar
  • May 21: Caleb Davidson
  • May 28: Eduardo Cautino
Standing tables will be available, but visitors are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets. Coolers are allowed, but  the city asked to refrain from bringing glass items or alcohol. 
 
Free parking will be available a in nearby parking decks:
  • Main Street Parking Deck, 301 Main St.
  • Hall County Parking Facility, 225 Green St.
  • North Parking Deck, 100 Brenau Ave NE.
