Georgia State Patrol (GSP) says one person has died and three others-including two young children-were injured in a Hart County Crash Wednesday afternoon.

State Troopers arrived to the Lankford Road accident scene at 3:53 p.m. to find a 2001 Dodge Dakota truck driven by 29-year-old Dustin Owen of Lavonia had let the roadway and struck a tree.

Owen was transported to Prisma Healthcare in Greenville, South Carolina with serious injuries. Two juveniles, ages 1 and 2,  sustained minor injuries and were transported to Prisma Healthcare for evaluation.  The front seat passenger in the truck, identified as 22-year old Brittany Lewis of Lavonia, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A release from Georgia State Patrol says no charges have currently been filed in the case, as the investigation is on-going.
