Boys soccer: Big Red uses 2nd half rally to beat N. Gwinnett

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Gainesville stayed perfect on the young season with a 2-1 win over North Gwinnett on Wednesday at City Park Stadium.

However, the Red Elephants (3-0_ had to rally from a 1-0 halftime deficit with two second half goals.

The Bulldogs (0-2) took the lead with a penalty kick goal before halftime.
 It was all Big Red in the second half.

Kevin Manzo tied the match at 1 with a goal off an assist from Gabriel Ixcoy. The Red Elephants got the game-winner from Bryan Turcios on an assist from Orlando Robles.

Keeper Marquise Rangel kept Gainesville in the match in the first half with several crucial stops.

Gainesville will travel to Lumpkin County on Fridayto begin a four-match road trip.
