Road and overpass work to restrict lanes on Georgia 400 in Forsyth County next week

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

Continuous road and ramp work along Georgia 400 in Forsyth County is about to present some short term inconveniences with long term relief for area commuters.

Forsyth County's Communications Office is reporting lane restrictions for the area around Settingdown Road, and nearby overpasses.

Nightly southbound lane closures and a detour will occur on Georgia 400 at State Route 369 (Exit 18) from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. between Monday, January 27 and Wednesday, January 29, as crews remove beams as part of the planned overpass repair, weather permitting.

The detour will direct southbound drivers to exit Georgia 400 at Settingdown Road and re-enter at the Exit 18 on-ramp.

Forsyth County's government invites commuters and residents to watch On the Move for the latest video update on the Exit 18 overpass along Georgia 400.
