Forsyth County names new Economic Development Program Manager

Forsyth County has named Jennifer Mihalcoe as its new Economic Development Program Manager. 
 
Mihalcoe brings 13 years of experience in economic development, including business development, retention, recruitment, and workforce initiatives to her new role. 
 
“Jennifer brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our community and to a role that will help guide the County’s growing business community and impact on our local economy,” County Manager David McKee, said.
 
Prior to taking the role in Forsyth County, Mihalcoe served as Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Orlando, FL. While working in the position, she led efforts to develop and present incentive packages designed to attract and retain businesses. She has also served as a Business Development and Retention Manager in Spotsylvania County, VA. 
 
“I’m truly excited to step into the role of Economic Development Manager for Forsyth County,” Mihalcoe said. “This community has incredible potential, and I look forward to collaborating with local leaders, businesses, and residents to support sustainable growth, attract new opportunities and strengthen the local economy.” 
 
As  Economic Development Program Manager, Mihalcoe will serve as a liaison between the County, the Development Authority, the Chamber of Commerce, businesses located within the County and prospective organizations looking to call Forsyth County home. She will also deliver economic development related projects in a more streamlined and timely manner in coordination with the County’s strategic initiatives for the future.
 
She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Flagler College.
