In anticipation of the cold conditions, the greens at the Chattahoochee Golf Club will be covered starting on Sunday and will be unavailable for play until further notice.
A release from the City of Gainesville said the greens could remain covered for seven to eight days depending on the forecast.
That forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS) predicts rain at the beginning of the week, followed by consistent below-freezing temperatures with highs in the low-to-mid 40s.
The driving range and the Chattahoochee Grill will be open during this time.
