An Oakwood man was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 24 for allegedly tattooing three girls who are under the age of 18.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said they began investigating Christopher Avery Adams, 36 on September 16 after one of the girl's parents notified the HCSO Sex Offender Registry Unit about a tattoo his daughter received without parental knowledge.

“Adams is a registered sex offender who was convicted in a statutory rape case out of Whitfield County in 2019,” HCSO officials said.

The preliminary investigation discovered four teenage girls traveled to Adams’ residence on Hidden Valley Way in Oakwood on Sept. 12 to receive tattoos.

Investigators learned Adams operated his tattoo business out of his apartment.

Two of the teens who received tattoos are 17 years old, one is 16 and one is 19. The legal age to receive a tattoo in Georgia is 18.

Adams was charged with three counts of tattooing a minor.

He remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond.
