Fire destroys pole barn structure in White County Monday evening

An evening fire in White County's City of Cleveland destroyes a large structure in short time.
 
White County 911 Communications received a call and multiple reports from passersby of a “barn” structure fire in the 900 block of Highway 284 in Cleveland at around 7:30 p.m.. White County 911 immediately dispatched a structure fire assignment to the location.
 
Upon arrival, units reported a roughly 60’x60’ “pole barn” structure, fully involved with fire. Fire personnel efforts were focused on containing the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby exposures. Within several minutes, White County officials say through a press release that their personnel were able to contain and eventually extinguish the fire.  Their efforts then focused towards checking for and extinguishing hotspots.
 
Firefighters remained on scene throughout the evening, ensuring the fire was fully extinguished. The cause of the fire is undetermined as of Tuesday morning.
