OAKWOOD, Ga. — Records were shattered Friday night as West Hall took the Battle of Oakwood for the fifth straight season with a 73-0 win over Johnson.
The 73 points scored is a West Hall school record, while the point spread is also the largest margin of victory in school history.
Elijah Hayes had just 12 rushes on the night but ran for 220 yards and a school-record seven touchdowns, all in the first half. Brett Sturm finished the night 8-for-11 with 176 yards through the air and a touchdown.
The Spartans will take an off week next week before hosting Franklin County, while Johnson opens region play in two weeks at GAC.
