The Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 13-year-old student on Friday after he allegedly made threats in front of his classmates at World Language Academy Middle School.
HCSO officials said the incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. when the student stated he “was going to be the next school shooter.”
He also allegedly said he had a “mag” in his backpack.
Administrators responded to the classroom immediately after being notified and searched the student and his belongings. No weapons were found according to officials.
The on-duty HCSO school resource officer placed the student in custody and charged him with felony terroristic threats and disruption of a public school
The parents were notified and he was taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.
