Amber Alert from Roswell leads to an overnight arrest in Forsyth County

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

A mother and child from Roswell have the GBI and Forsyth County's law enforcement to thank for their well being, after being abducted and then rescued overnight in Fosyth County.

Roswell Police social media posts thank the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office deputies behind the arrest of 40-year old Brian Betenia after 1:00 a.m. today (Wednesday, August 21) following a brief vehicle pursuit.

Betenia allegedly held his partner, 32-year old Ashley Vick and her 4-year old son, Tanner St. Germain against their will in Roswell before they were taken in Betenia's 2013 Ford Edge through Forsyth County.  A short time later, deputies with Forsyth County's Sheriff's Office stopped the Ford Edge for an Amber Alert investigation.

Forsyth County PIO Stacie Miller has confirmed that Betenia was arrested early this morning, with more details on the case to follow.
