A North Georgia electric membership group recently reached a milestone with its services to members.
Sawnee EMC of Cumming announced this week the installation of its 200-thousandth electric meter for customers.
CEO Michael Goodroe says in a press release that Sawnee EMC is celebrating with its customers by entering all of them into a drawing this Monday (August 19th) for 100 recipients to get a $25 credit on their next electric bill.
Sawnee EMC says they add 35-hundred meters per year, and has been active with its local members since 1938.
Goodroe adds, “We were founded to serve our communities and things have certainly changed since 1938. We are very proud of our history, but we are focused on what is ahead, and we are committed to meeting the needs of our members throughout our seven-county service area.”
