A new self-service vehicle tag renewal kiosk was recently opened inside the Kroger store on Thompson Bridge Road in Hall County.
According to a press release from Hall County Tax Commissioner Darla Eden, this is the first tag kiosk in North Hall County, and the northernmost one in the state.
“Located in a highly traveled area, the Thompson Bridge Kroger kiosk is a convenient location for our North Hall residents,” Eden said. “One of the key advantages of the tag renewal kiosks is they are open when the store is open which is beyond normal business hours for most. That gives you more chances throughout the day or weekend to renew your tags and print your decals. All you need is your driver’s license, renewal notice, or tag number. Scan, pay, and print. It’s that easy.”
The kiosk will be open during the store's operating hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The machines accept credit or debit cards and include a convenience fee of $3.95 for up to 10 renewals.
"The tag renewal machines have gained popularity throughout Hall County because of their availability, efficiency and ease of use," the release said.
With the opening of the new kiosk, Hall County citizens now have access to four self-service kiosks located in area Kroger Stores.
The other three kiosks are situated at 1931 Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville, 7380 Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch, and 4025 Winder Hwy. in Flowery Branch.
Citizens are urged to take advantage of this option to renew their vehicle tags. The tax commissioner's office offers several other ways to do so, including the following:
