A Gainesville man was arrested Thursday after child pornography was allegedly found on his electronic devices.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Ryan Daniel Kinev, 38, of Gainesville, was charged with four felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in that case.
The agency began its investigation into Kinev after receiving a cybertip. Investigators conducted a search of a residence on Lotheridge Road on Thursday and seized several of Kinev's electronic devices.
"At this point in the investigation, HCSO officials have found two images and two videos of children either being molested by adults or engaged in sexual acts with other children," the agency said in a press release.
Additional charges are expected in the case.
Hall County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer B.J. Williams told AccessWDUN that Investigators were looking into whether or not any of the explicit materials were produced locally.
"All of that is part of the ongoing investigation," Williams said. "Our investigators say that, again, additional charges are expected in the case and we should know more in the coming weeks and months."
Kinev remained in the Hall County Jail without bond as of late Friday morning.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force are assisting the sheriff's office with the investigation.
