It's Easter weekend, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate the holiday around Northeast Georgia, along with several other events to enjoy.

EASTER EVENTS:
Event Name: Good Friday Worship with Mac Powell
Event Date & Time: Friday, March 29, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Event Location: FOCAL Center, 1150 Dahlonega Hwy., Cumming
Event Details: Hosted by First Baptist Church Cumming, their choir and worship band will join with MacPowell at the FOCAL Center. Two seatings – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. FREE for the whole community.
Event Name: Community Easter Egg Hunt, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: Saturday, March 30, 2 p.m.
Event Location: Longwood Park, Gainesville
Event Details: This egg hunt is for ages 10 & under. A DJ and kid’s activities will be a part of the fun. Egg hunts will be divided by age. The Easter Bunny will also be there! The hunt will be at the pavilion at the main entrance to the park.
Event Name: Community Easter Egg Hunt, Dahlonega
Event Date & Time: Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m.
Event Location: R-Ranch in the Mountains, Dahlonega
Event Details: Hosted by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office. Bring your basket and join the fun! Prize-winning Easter Basket for each age group.
Event Name: Community Easter Egg Hunt, Clermont
Event Date & Time: Saturday, March 30, 5:30 p.m.
Event Location: Main Street, Clermont
Event Details: The Egg Hunt begins at 5:30 p.m. There will be a cookout/picnic, live music, bounce house and fireworks at dark! Bring your Easter baskets, chairs, picnic blankets and yard games.
Event Name: EGGstravaganza on the Farm
Event Date & Time: Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Event Location: Warbington Farms, Crow Rd., Cumming
Event Details: Egg hunt is free with $11.95 per person farm admission. Three and under are free. Tickets sold at the gate. The egg hunt includes prizes, a visit with the Easter Bunny and Friends. You can also enjoy unlimited play in the “fun park,” which includes a petting zoo, “hey” rides, inflatables, jumping pillow and more. Bring your own basket. FESTIVALS & SPECIAL EVENTS:
Event Name: Monster Truck Wars
Event Date & Time: Saturday, March 30 – Sunday, March 31, 5:30 p.m.
Event Location: Chicopee Agricultural Center, Gainesville
Event Details: For the first time ever, Monster Truck Wars is coming to Gainesville! Enjoy all the family fun and high energy excitement by getting tickets online at www.monstertrucks.fun. Event Name: Fraser’s Ridge Wedding Ball
Event Date & Time: Saturday, March 30, 6 p.m.
Event Location: Northeast Georgia History Center, Academy St., NE, Gainesville
Event Details: The Northeast Georgia History Center is partnering with Atlanta Historic Dance to present a ball from a different era! Inspired by the show Outlander, you can step back into time for this event. Guests are encouraged to wear 18th-century period clothing from any country of vintage outfits. Modern formal attire is also accepted. There will be dancing, a wedding reenactment, galleries to explore, a blacksmith demonstration, and you can also explore the historic cabin on site. Event Details: This is the perfect networking event but the public is invited to attend for free! Outdoor games, food, music and vendors.
CONCERTS:
Event Name: Junior Sisk

OUT OF TOWN:
Event Name: Dino Fest
Event Date & Time: Saturday, March 30, 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Event Location: Stone Mountain Park, Stone Mountain
Event Details: All about dinosaurs!! There will be dinosaurs in 4D, a lighted dinosaur-themed parade, plus a special drone and light show. The description says, “Be prepared for rustling in the bushes, footprints on the ground and flying dinosaurs overhead."
