GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Lakeview girls' soccer team scored two goals in the second half to knock off North Hall, 2-0, at The Brickyard on Wednesday.
After a scoreless first half, Avery Marshall found Lakeview’s leading scorer, Sadie Leek, who then beat her defender to find the back of the net with 10 minutes left in the game.
In the final minute, Leek placed a perfect pass to Annie Nivens. Nivens took care of the rest for the Lady Lions' second goal to go up 2-0.
Amelia Corbin ended the night with five saves in goal to preserve the shutout.

Frisco Johnson scored on a free kick from 30 yards out to tie the game, 1-1, and that score would hold until the final horn.
Lakeview had a shot in the second half to take the lead, but the ball hit the crossbar. The Lions outshot North Hall 12-11.
William Harrison recorded three saves in goal.
Lakeview will open the region play on Friday night against Bethlehem Christian at home.
