FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Cherokee Bluff won its fourth straight match with a 6-1 win over Cedar Shoals in Region 8-4A action Friday night at Yonah Field.
The win also moved the Lady Bears (7-4, 4-0 Region 8-4A) into third place behind North Oconee and Walnut Grove, who are also unbeaten in region play.
Layne Hammond netted two goals, one on a header, to pace the Bluff attack. Carson DeMars, Addison Dovie, Tyndall Brix, and Naomi Cornett all added one goal for the Lady Bears.
Kaitlyn Cook dished out two assists on the night.
Cherokee Bluff will be back in action on Tuesday at home against North Hall in another 8-4A showdown.
