FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Freshman Bristol Kersh scored seven goals to lead Class 4A ninth-ranked Cherokee Bluff to a 7-1 win over Seckinger on Friday in Region 8-4A action at Yonah Field.
It was the second straight win for the Lady Bears (5-3, 2-0 Region 8-4A).
Carson DeMars, Tyndall Brix, and Ashley Scott all had assists for Cherokee Bluff.
The Lady Bears will be back in Region 8-4A action on Tuesday traveling to Madison County.

The Class 4A 10th-ranked Lady Knights made quick work of cross-town rival Chestatee on Friday at The Dungeon, scoring all 10 goals in the first half.
Freshman Hailey Herrera led the way with 4 goals and fellow freshmen Vicky Arteaga and Bridget Higgins each had 2 goals for Johnson (6-0, 4-0 Region 8-4A). Another freshman, Angelique Zelaya, netted one goal and Liz Rivera also had a goal for the Lady Knights.
Giselle Garcia, Angelique Zelaya, Liz Rivera, Aaliyah Godina, Sarah Prada, Arithzi Vargas, Keily Gonzales, and Hailey Herrera all had assists for Johnson.
The Lady Knights will have their toughest test to date on Tuesday, traveling to No. 2-ranked North Oconee (6-1, 5-0 Region 8-4A) on Tuesday in a battle for first place. The Lady Titans have allowed just one goal in region play so far in 2024.
