The traditional Flag Retirement Ceremony hosted by South Hall Rotary, is scheduled for Monday, February 19th at 6:30 p.m.
The ceremony pays tribute to the United States flag for its significance as a symbol of freedom, unity, and democracy. As part of the ceremony, worn, torn, or tattered flags will be respectfully retired in accordance with proper flag etiquette.
The event will take place at the Flowery Branch Amphitheater, and include a formal ceremony conducted by the Boy Scout Troup 228 that will end the ceremonial retirement of the flags. Community members are invited to attend to honor the nation’s flag.
