Ga. Supreme Court upholds murder conviction of Gainesville woman

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

The Georgia Supreme Court unanimously upheld a murder conviction for Tabitha Zeldia Wood of Gainesville.

Wood was found guilty in March of last year for murdering her fiancé and living with the body for several weeks.

That stemmed from the 2022 death of Leroy Franklin Kramer, Jr. after his body was found at the home they shared on Candler Road.

The indictment in 2023 by a Hall County jury stated Wood caused Kramer's death by inflicting traumatic injuries to his neck and chest.

Wood will serve life in prison with possibility of parole after 30 years.
