A 45-year-old Gainesville woman has been charged with murdering her 82-year-old fiancé after his body was found in the home the two shared on Candler Road.

Tabitha Zeldia Wood has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and concealing a death. She is in the Hall County Jail.

Hall County sheriff's deputies met Tuesday with the stepdaughter of Leroy Frankin Kramer Jr. She told deputies she was concerned for his safety because she hasn't had contact with him in several months. When they arrived at the home on Candler Road, deputies found Kramer's body.

Wood told deputies that Kramer had died the first week of April and she had been living in the residence with the body since then.

But an autopsy determined Kramer had died as a result of homicide and Wood was arrested on Friday.

The murder is still under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
