The gas prices for commuters in Georgia and across the country have slowly cooled at the pumps this week, as the weather is also cooling.
AAA of Georgia is showing that Georgians pay an average of $2.90 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline (subject to change overnight). Monday's state average is 3 cents less than a week ago, 5 cents less than a month ago, and 5 cents less than last year.
Montrae Waiters of AAA says that mild gasoline demand, steady supply, and low oil costs have contributed to pump prices sliding further this week.
Hall County commuters should find the averag price for gas at around $2.84 per gallon on Monday, with the lowest average price in northeast Georgia found in Stephens County, at $2.74. The highest average price per gallon is currently in White County at $2.95.
