Two people were arrested on Friday and charged with aggravated assault and kidnapping after a raid on a home on Homer Stephens Road near Cornelia.

Rob Moore with the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office said Dylan Anthony Forrester, 30 and Ashley Nicole Sosebee, 32, both of Clermont were wanted since the kidnapping of a White County woman on Oct. 6.

The vicitm was able to free herself from her restraints and sought help following the incident.

Forrester, who is a felon, was found in possession of a loaded Taurus 9mm handgun when deputies raided the house. Deputies also found a bulletproof vest with ceramic panels and plates but he was not wearing it at the time of his arrest.

Moore said Sosebee was in possession of methamphetamine and Clonazepam at the time of her arrest.

“I’m proud of the work done by my deputies to locate and arrest these two, who now also face charges in Habersham County,” Sheriff Joey Terrell said. “He was armed at the time of his arrest and in possession of a bulletproof vest, so we’re thankful the arrests of these violent individuals ended safely.”

Forrester faces charges in Habersham County of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, while Sosebee faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of Schedule IV drug (Clonazapam).

Both suspects face charges of kidnapping and two counts of aggravated assault following the Oct. 6 incident in White County

The homeowner Scott Arrowood was also arrested Friday morning on a felony probation warrant.

“These arrests followed information we received from a reliable source,” Habersham County Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Chastain said. “They are the product of the hard work of our Narcotics Unit, Lt. Travis Jarrell and our Special Operations Units, including Sgt. Blake Forrester and Deputy Holden Helcher with both our K9s, and Lt. Cason and deputies from our Uniform Patrol.”

Forrester, Sosebee and Arrowood are being held at the Habersham County Detention Center in Clarkesville.
