If you need something to do while finishing off your Halloween candy, there's plenty happening for the first weekend of November around Northeast Georgia.

FESTIVALS

Event Name: Dia De Los Muertos Celebration, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: Saturday, November 2, 1 – 4 p.m. 
Event Location: Midland Greenway, Gainesville

Event Name: Festival Del Dia De Los Muertos, Lawrenceville
Event Date & Time: Saturday, November 2, 12 p.m.
Event Location: Lawrenceville Arts Center, 125 N Clayton Street, Lawrenceville
Event Details: Once again, Aurora Theatre welcomes you to celebrate Dia De Los Muertos! We invite you to experience and enjoy this beautiful cultural tradition full of color, music, food, and dance. Event Name: Headwaters River Rendezvous, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: Saturday, November 2, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. 
Event Location: Chicopee Woods Aquatic Center, 2100 Calvary Church Rd., Gainesville
Event Details: Come out with friends, family, or yourself to collect water samples and track pollution. Chattahoochee Riverkeepers is joining with Upper Oconee Watershed Network to gather data about the health of streams and rivers in our local watersheds. We’ll provide instructions and no previous monitoring experience is necessary! Volunteers will need to be comfortable navigating to and accessing stream-side sample sites. The event will take place rain or shine, so dress accordingly. 

Event Name: Suwanee Wine Fest, Suwanee
Event Date & Time: Saturday, November 2, 1 – 4:30 p.m. 
Event Location: Suwanee Town Center Park, 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee
Event Details: This festival features over 150 wines from all over the world, plus a Georgia winery section where local wineries will offer their favorites. There will also be music, vendors and arts, food from local restaurants, as well as food trucks. For details, visit www.suwaneewinefest.com

Event Name: Antique Car Show, Duluth
Event Date & Time: Sunday, November 3, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Event Location: 3215 Hill St. NW, Duluth
Event Details: Enjoy browsing unique and antique cars. This show will feature the South Dekalb Street Rodders Antique Car Show. You can also enjoy Chi-Town Style hot dogs and Polish Sausage. 

Event Name: Vernados Circus, Dawsonville
Event Date & Time: Now – November 10, Various Times
Event Location: North Georgia Premium Outlets, GA 400, Dawsonville

Event Name: Native American Festival and PowWow, Stone Mountain
Event Date & Time: Now – Sunday, November 3, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Event Location: Stone Mountain Park, 1000 Robert E Lee Blvd., Stone Mountain
Event Details: Join us for Georgia's largest Native American gathering at Stone Mountain Park! This four-day event features vibrant inter-tribal dance and drum competitions, authentic craft demonstrations, storytelling, and wildlife presentations by the American Eagle Foundation. Explore traditional dwellings, learn primitive skills like flint-knapping, and shop unique, handcrafted items from Native artists. It's a fun, educational experience for the whole family!

PERFORMANCES

Event Name: Selcouth: An Evening of Dance - Brenau Dance, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: Friday, November 1 – Sunday, November 3, Various Times
Event Location: Pearce Auditorium, Brenau University, Gainesville
Event Details: The concert will feature dance works by Brenau Dance majors and guest artists Kevin Jenkins, Quaba Ernest, Jake Bone, and Francine Ott. Get ready for a fresh, contemporary, storytelling experience!! It will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night and at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The cost is $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors and kids under 12. Brenau faculty, staff and students are free admission with an ID. Tickets are sold at the door.

Event Details: Get your Christmas shopping done early. This one-stop holiday shopping event will feature a variety of vendors.
