A Gainesville man was arrested Thursday on over a dozen criminal charges involving possession of child sexual abuse material.
Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of multiple instances of suspicious activity on email addresses linked to Martin Pedro, 20.
An initial investigation reportedly led to the discovery of 18 videos depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The department said in a release the investigation into Pedro’s online activity is ongoing with the possibility of additional charges. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation ICAC Task Force is assisting in the case.
Pedro is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond.
