DACULA, Ga. — The Cherokee Bluff boys tennis team opened the season with a solid 4-1 win over Hebron Christian on Tuesday.
The Bears swept the singles without dropping a set, getting wins from James Rivenbark, Boston Murphy, and Nick Bellew.
The best match of the day came at No. 1 doubles where Jett Hewette and Brady Woodward split the first two sets with Johnah Hughes and Ryan Donat. Hewette and Woodward won the match 10-8 in the third.
Hebron Christian’s only win came at No. 2 doubles with Avenir Huryn and Nate Phillips beating Arya Chawla and Baylor Oleksinski in straight sets.
